Send Grafana alerts to Acked

Grafana evaluates alert rules. Acked turns each alert in a notification group into an on-call page.

This setup uses Grafana's default webhook body. No custom payload feature required, so it works without depending on features that differ between Grafana editions.

1. Create the Acked connection

Open Integrations → Sources → Add vendor connection and choose Grafana Alerting. Select a fallback service. Add ordered routing rules over Grafana labels when the connection serves several services. Create the connection and copy its ingest URL.

Acked maps every object in Grafana's alerts[] array to an alert. It routes each object independently. Repeated notifications with the same fingerprint deduplicate. Each object's resolved status closes its matching alert.

2. Add a Grafana contact point

  1. Open Alerts & IRM → Alerting → Contact points.
  2. Add a contact point and choose Webhook.
  3. Paste the Acked ingest URL into URL. Leave the default JSON body intact.
  4. Keep resolved messages enabled.
  5. Save, then connect the contact point to each notification policy that should send alerts to Acked.

3. Test both directions

Use Grafana's contact-point test, then trigger a real rule. Confirm its labels select the expected service. Resolve the rule and confirm the matching Acked alert closes.

Grafana can batch many alerts into one notification. Acked fans them out and caps one payload at 50 individual alerts. Any additional firing alerts become one visible summary instead of being dropped.
